Headlines dont take you to the story

What is it with this app? I get pop-up notices on my screen but when I click on the notice to see the news item it simply takes me to Algos main screen. Most of the time I cant even find that headliner and end up going to another news app, like the BBC or the NYT.

Algo only works if youre bored and just clicking around for whatever news is out there.
